The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a network of
24 satellites orbiting the earth, and represents a $13 billion
investment from the U. S. Government. Each satellite carries on-board
triple-redundant atomic clocks which are maintained accurate and
traceable to UTC (Universal Coordinated time) by the U. S. Department
of Defense and the U. S. Naval Observatory.
The Spectracom NetClock/GPS Master Clock automatically
tracks up to eight satellites simultaneously, and provides extremely
accurate timing by synchronizing to the satellites' atomic clocks.
Because the GPS satellite system blankets the earth, the NetClock/GPS
can be used anywhere on our planet.
A variety of time code outputs are available to meet
the requirements of numerous systems — two RS-232 serial
ports, two RS-485 data bus ports, IRIG B/E and TTL, plus frequency
outputs of 10 MHz and 1 PPS. Alarm outputs and programmable timer
outputs are also provided. The NetClock/GPS is ideally suited for
delivering system-wide split-second timing information to public
safety and emergency response systems of all types.
Each NetClock/GPS Master Clock system includes a UL-approved
power supply, GPS antenna and associated mounting hardware. An
international power supply is available for applications outside
North America.

The Spectracom NetClock/2 is the world standard in
master clocks, and this new model provides more features and capabilities
than ever before, including full conformance with the new NENA
04-002 PSAP Master Clock Standard.
NetClock/2 receives legally traceable time signals
from WWVB, the 60 kHz time and frequency standard radio station
maintained by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST). These signals, based on atomic time standards that are
accurate, allow the NetClock/2 to distribute consistent, legally
traceable time throughout your system.
Outputs available from NetClock/2 include an RS-232
serial port, RS-485 data bus port, IRIG B or E and TTL a 1 PPS
frequency output, and an alarm output. The instrument is compatible
with a wide range of equipment, including voice recorders, ANI/ALI,
radio consoles, computer-aided dispatch systems, audible and visual
time announcement devices, and others.
Other features include easy adaptability to standard
rack mount, built-in battery backup, and high visibility front
panel LED time display.
